LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's swimming and diving season continued with four of the league's seven teams in action, which included Austin College hosting a double dual with Centenary and McMurry.

The McMurry men swept both Austin College and Centenary on Saturday, at the Hannah Natatorium in Sherman, Texas - defeating the 'Roos, 178-40, and the Gents, 117-111.

Freshman Alfonso Santoya picked up a pair of individual wins, earning first-place in the 200 free with a time of 1:58.83, and closed out the individual events with a first-place finish in the 400 IM in 4:58.54. Junior Alec Satre in the 50 free (23.39) and freshman Isaiah Narvaez in the 200 back (2:15.18) also posted individual wins for the War Hawks. And with both a first and second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, McMurry sealed the victory over Centenary, earning its third and fourth wins of the season.

The Centenary men defeated Austin College, 134-65, to finish 1-1 at Saturday's double dual. The team of Ricky LaFleur, Mitchell Lulich, Aiden Peterkin, and Miguel Vasquez claimed victory in the 200 medley relay, swimming a time of 1:44.44. Vasquez was a triple individual winner, picking up victories in the 100 back (52.96), 100 free (47.85) and 100 fly (51.64). LaFleur won the 100 breast (1:05.54) and the 200 breast (2:23.91) while Tony Barbee picked up a first in the 200 fly (2:13.79) and Lulich won the 500 free (5:24.21).

Sean Cookson picked up the 'Roos sole first place finish, posting a victory in the 1,650 free, coming in with a time of 18:49.89.

The University of the Ozarks men's swim and dive team fell to Williams Baptist, 113-87, at Saturday's Senior Day recognition meet. Senior Nicolas Dunsworth won the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.66 and fellow classmate Jakobe Durant posted a win in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 113.85. Durant would also win the six-dive one-meter competition with a score of 136.90. Nicolai Van Zyl also picked up an individual title, winning the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.36.

The 2021 swimming and diving schedule continues next week with two teams wrapping up the abbreviated regular season prior to the SCAC Championships, which are scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, February 11-13 in San Antonio, Texas at the Blossom Athletic Center.
