TINO GAMUEDA OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior goalkeeper from Lubbock, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, October 26th through Sunday, November 1st.
Gamueda battled the elements, as Dallas tied No. 16 Colorado College for the second time this season in a 0-0 final on Friday. The goalie made seven saves in 110 minutes, as rain and heavy winds forced difficult field conditions throughout the contest. It is Gamueda's sixth shutout of the campaign.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender Daylon Gordon of Trinity University led the third-ranked Tiger men's soccer team to a pair of victories last week, including a win over Schreiner that clinched the SCAC regular season championship title.
