TOM CARWILE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior defender from Tulsa, Okla. has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Tuesday, Septebmer 1st through Sunday, September 6th.
Carwile led Trinity's sixth-ranked men's soccer team to a 3-0 start to the season, earning a total of three shutouts that included a win over #7 Brandeis University on Saturday night. In addition to helping a defense that held all three opponents scoreless over the past week, Carwile also netted a pair of game-winning goals.

Carwile scored on penalty kicks against both Schreiner and Claremont, and both were the only goals scored in the games.
Trinity resumes play this weekend, facing off against Hardin-Simmons University and the University of Texas-Dallas. The Tigers won't return home until September 25, hosting Centenary College to open a weekend of SCAC action.
Coloardo College, Austin College, Southwestern University, The University of Dallas, Centenary College and Schreiner University did not submit nominations.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender, Nathan Drouillard of Texas Lutheran University led TLU to a 3-0 start to the 2015 season by organizing the Bulldog defense and contributing to a Texas Lutheran goal with an assist on the first goal against LeTourneau.
