NICK LAMMERS OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior defender from San Antonio, Texas has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 10 through Sunday, September 16.
Lammers anchored the Colorado College defense that posted shutouts against Fredonia State and Otterbein en route to the 14th Annual Bill Boddington Memorial Tournament championship. In the 4-0 victory over Fredonia State, Lammers helped hold the Blue Devils to just nine total shots, only two of which were on goal.
During Sunday’s 2-0 win against Otterbein,
Lammers and the Tigers allowed just six total
shots by the Cardinals, only two of which got through to senior
goalkeeper Brian Graf.
It marked the fourth time this season an opponent took fewer than 10 shots in a game against CC. The Tigers now have four shutouts on the season and have lowered their team goals-against average to 0.71.
