DANNY RIVARA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from Horseshoe Bay, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, December 10th. This is Rivara's second Player of the Week honor this season.
Rivara led Trinity to a lopsided home win over Hardin-Simmons University on Tuesday, running the team's win streak to four games.
Rivara led all players with 18 points and 11 rebounds in just 26 minutes on the court, connecting on 8-15 from the field and knocking down both of his free throw attempts.
For the season, Rivara leads Trinity with 14.1 points/game and 8.9 rebounds/game, and he is shooting 50% (42-84) from the floor.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore guard Cedric Harris of Centenary College scored a career high 31 points in the Gents' only game last week, while shooting 57.1% from distance (8-14). Senior forward Ryan Ogden of Southwestern University scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Pirates game last week.
