NATHAN MALINOVSKY OF TEXAS LUTHERAN, a senior right-hander from New Braunfels, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, April 1 through Sunday, April 7.
Malinovsky struck out a career-high 13 in a 9-2 victory over Southwestern on Friday nights, moving into second place on the SCAC’s all-time strikeout list with 314. The Texas native allowed just one earned run in the victory, his 31st career win as a Bulldog. Malinovsky tossed a complete game in which he scattered nine hits and walked just one batter. He is one win away from tying both TLU’s and the SCAC mark for career victories.
