DIANA HASSINK OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, April 8th.
Hassink competed last week at the Pioneer Invitational hosted by Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she finished first in shot put with a throw of 11.48 meter.
Hassink also took third in discus with a personal best toss of 29.65 meters and fourth in hammer with a season-best mark (36.21m).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Morgan Gilpin of Southwestern University threw a new personal best and school record in the javelin last week with a toss of 30.74 meters.
