SAM ANDERSON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Broomfield, Colorado, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Monday, October 21 to Sunday, October 27.

In Southwestern’s victory over Austin on Friday, Anderson posted fist-place finishes in the 100 free (48.09) and aided in the Pirates first-place win in the 200 free relay with a 21.7 split, the freshman also placed second in the 50 free (22.28). In Saturday’s dual against Oklahoma Christian, Anderson won the 200 breaststroke (2:12.98) as well as aiding in the Pirates vicotry in the 400 free relay with a split of 47.66. Anderson also placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.15) and third in the 200 medley relay with a split of 27.5 in the breaststroke.   

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Freshaman Ethan Nguyen of Austin College had 3 individual first place finishes this past Friday in the ‘Roos dual agaisnt Southwestern, placing in the 50 free with a time of 22.24, the 100 butterfly in 53.47, and the 100 breast in 58.51.
