NICK HAMMOND OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a sophomore midfielder/forward from Shreveport, La., has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Thursday, Septebmer 1st through Monday, September 6th.
Hammond had a great start in the 2016 campaign, already equaling his goal tally from last season.
Hammond scored the first goal in the first two games of the season, tallying the game-winning goal against Howard Payne.
Hammond leads the SCAC in total goals, averaging an impressive 1.5 goals per game so far.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Andrew Ciancone of the University of Dallas netted 2 goals and an assist this week. Christian Lopez of Southwestern University notched two assists in Southwestern's 3-1 win over Concordia to open the season. Austin Michaelis of Trinity University scored 2 goals, including the game winner, in Trinity's win against Hardin-Simmons. Thomas Quick of Austin College recorded an assist and 3 shots on goal.
