LAURENCE WYKE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore defender from Bolton, England, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, Septebmer 26th through Sunday, October 2nd.
Wyke led top-ranked Trinity to a pair of shutout victories last weekend, holding both Southwestern and Texas Lutheran scoreless.
In addition to controlling the Tiger defense from his spot in central defense, Wyke also knocked in the game-winning goal on a penalty kick against Southwestern.
Under Wyke's leadership, Trinity has recorded six total shutouts - including four against SCAC opponents. Wyke has also scored 4 goals and contributed an assist this season, with this weekend being his first game-winner.

Sophomore goalkeeper Joseph Khalaf of Austin College had a strong weekend for Austin College, earning a shutout with 4 saves in a 1-0 win over the University of Dallas and making 11 stops in a narrow 2-1 defeat at Colorado College on Sunday.
