COLTON ALLEN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior forward from Roanoke, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, October 20th through Sunday, October 25th.
Allen headlined an offensive outburst for the Dallas men's soccer team, putting together a season-best six goals in a shutout at Centenary College this past week. Already up 2-0, the lone senior on the squad scored the first pair of goals to round out a four-goal first half. Allen would net his third goal in a row to complete the hat trick - his first of his career. It was UD's first hat trick since 2008, and first on the road since 2007. Allen had tied a game-high four shots, placing all on target for a perfect shots on goal percentage. The senior forward moved to second on the team with five goals and tied second with 10 points after the big outing.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Christian Sakshaug of Trinity University buried a goal in each game this weekend, including a crucial insurance goal in a 2-0 win over Southwestern on Sunday.
