NOAH SOLOMON
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a 5-11, 180-pound senior
right-hander from Austin Texas, has been selected the SCAC Baseball
Co-Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 7
through Sunday, March 13.
Solomon helped the Tigers to a 3-1 record last
week, pitching in two of the team’s four games overall, and
leading the team to victory in both. He did not allow a run in nine
innings of work last week, sporting a 1-0 record in his two
appearances. He gave up one hit in two innings of relief.
On Sunday, with Trinity needing a win to split the series with
Millsaps, Solomon tossed a complete-game three-hit
shutout to put the Tigers back into a tie for the lead in the SCAC
West Division. Solomon struck out nine batters in
his seven innings of work, giving him a total of 12 strikeouts for
the week. The win was his first complete game and the first shutout
of his career.
