HOBS DONOVAN
OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a 5-11, 221-pound junior
right-hander from Indianapolis, Ind., has been selected the SCAC
Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 11
through Sunday, April 17.
Donovan tossed a complete-game shutout in an 11-0
win in game one of a critical three-game series against Centre. It
marked his second complete game of the season.
Donovan did not allow a runner to reach second
base.
Donovan struck out seven batters and allowed
just one hit while scattering two walks in seven innings of work.
He improved to 4-4 on the year, while lowering his earned run
average to 3.55 in 45.2 innings of work.
