BRUCE MAXWELL
OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN COLLEGE, a 6-2, 225-pound
sophomore first baseman from Toney, Ala. has been named the SCAC
Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday,
March 21 through Sunday, March 27.
Maxwell helped the Panthers win the series
against Rhodes this weekend, 2-1. He had two RBI in each of the
first two games, and three RBI in game three. Overall he was
4-of-11 (.364) at the plate with three runs, two doubles, and two
home runs.
Maxwell recorded seven total RBI with a 1.091
slugging percentage, as well as 12 total bases and a .385 on-base
percentage. In the field, he recorded 30 putouts and an assist with
no errors.
