KYLE FELIX OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a 6-2, 210-pound senior catcher
from Woodside, Calif., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball
Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, February 14 through
Sunday, February 20.
Felix continued his red-hot start to the season by
hitting .556 over the past week, leading the Tiger baseball team to
four road victories. Felix was 10-18 at the plate,
scoring nine runs and driving in nine more. He had three doubles
and four home runs among his 10 total hits, piling up 25 total
bases for a slugging percentage of 1.389 for the week. He also drew
two walks and struck out just two times, sporting an on-base
percentage of .636 (2.025 On-base plus slugging).
For the season, Felix leads Trinity with a .500 batting average (19-38) and 21 RBI. He also leads the team with eight doubles and five home runs, holding a slugging percentage of 1.105 on the year. Felix has also scored 13 runs and has gone 3-3 in stolen bases.
