At the 2015 SCAC Men's Golf tournament, Oliver helped lead the Schreiner program to its third consecutive conference title (second since joining the SCAC) where he finished eighth individually after rounds of 76-72-75. Last year, Oliver was the record-breaking medalist and SCAC Player of the Year as he cruised to the individual title by an amazing 10-stroke margin as he led the Mountaineers to a 21-stroke team victory at the 2014 conference tourney. He then helped lead the program to the 2014 NCAA Division III national championship - the school's first national title in any sport in the NCAA era.
Last week at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships, Schreiner finished seventh as Oliver carded a final-round 77 en route to a four day total of 312 (65th) in his final collegiate golf tournament.
Off the course, Oliver has been a standout as well. The Education major has served as a Peer Minister, youth tutor for the Kerrville Public Schools, has served in CSI: Kerrville, has been the team's SAAC representative for three years, has helped raise money for the Hill Country Youth Ranch and has helped on several occasions with the San Antonio Food Bank.
He chose to play golf this semester rather than do his student teaching so he delayed his graduation until December but will then enter a career teaching middle school children in Texas.
