EMILY SEXTON OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior from Shongaloo, La., has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending April 5th, 2015.

A first-year member of the Ladies softball team, Sexton has volunteered with MLK Service Day at Common Ground along with visiting nursing homes around the holidays. She has even pitched in sharing her talent of softball assisting with youth camps around the Centenary community.
The junior outfielder loves the fit at Centenary as she has been able to continue her love of softball and her service to the community that stretches back to her days at Shongaloo High School in Shongaloo, La.
Sexton has joins fellow teammate Cadie Hancock who was named to the SCAC Character and Community Team earlier this season.
