CADE OSGOOD OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through Tuesday, February 25.

Osgood led the seventh-ranked Pirates to a second place finish at the Linda Lowery Invitational. Southwestern 10 strokes short to UT-Tyler and finished with a three-round score of 903.

Osgood paced Southwestern and placed second among the 44 individuals with 78-69-74-221 (+8). The junior picked up 11 birdies to go along with 28 pars.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Wyatt Koricanek of Schreiner tied for medalist honors at the Bowie Intercollegiate during the stroke play portion of the event, posting rounds of 71 and 70 for a two-round total of 141. In the Mountaineers first spring event, he tied for 21st at the Texas A&M-International/Jack Brown Invitational with a three-round score of 227 (+11). Junior Reed Balcerowicz of Centenary paced the Gents during the stroke play portion of the Bowie Intercollegiate with a two day total of 154 (76-78) to finish in a tie for 25th individually. Junior Alexander Fernandez of Johnson & Wales finished in a tie for 25th with a three-round total of 252 (+39) to pace the Wildcats at the Linda Lowery Invitational.
