Around the SCAC - September 10

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Week two of the 2018-19 fall season spanned from Tuesday, September 4th to Sunday September 9th. 

Weather certainly played a factor as eight different contests were cancelled between men's and women's soccer. Colorado College volleyball continued to impress as the CC Tigers remain the only team with a perfect record across all sports.

Men's Cross Country
Four of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference wmen's cross country teams continued their 2018 campaign this weekend.

Four of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's cross country teams continued their continued their 2018 campaign this weekend.

Men's Golf

Five of the league’s six men’s golf teams hit the links for their fall debuts earlier this week with all five participating in the John Bohmann Memorial Tournament hosted by Texas Lutheran University.

Two of the league’s five women’s golf teams hit the links for their fall debuts earlier this week.

Men's Soccer
Weather played a factor in the opening weekend of SCAC play, with a number of non-conference contest cancellations and even a league game between, Johnson & Wales (0-1, 2-1) and Dallas (0-1, 1-2) that was scheduled for last Friday.  

Women's Soccer
Despite inclement weather across the SCAC footprint, the conference portion of the 2018 women’s soccer season got underway last weekend with Centenary (2-0, 4-0) and Johnson & Wales (2-0, 3-1) tied atop the standings following a pair of league victories apiece. 

Volleyball 
All nine of the SCAC women's volleyball programs continued their 2018 campaigns in week two including no. 2 Colorado College who remains unbeaten through eight contests so far this season.
