Colorado College falls one spot in latest AVCA national rankings

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Defending Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champion Colorado College fell one spot to 15th in the season's first national rankings from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

The Tigers, which opened the preseason ranked 14th in the AVCA rankings, went 3-1 at the Pacific Coast Classic where they beat La Verne, Whittier, and Pomona-Pitzer after dropping their opening match to California Lutheran.

Southwestern University, which was the preseason No. 19 team, dropped out of the top 25 but is among other teams receiving votes (28th). Trinity University, which was ranked 24th in the preseason, also fell from the top 25 and is receiving votes as well (34th).
