LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After facing off over the weekend, Trinity University's Micah Weaver and Austin College's Bryce Frank have each earned the D3hoops.com weekly honor.
Weaver, the SCAC Player of the Week, led the Tigers to a pair of home wins over the weekend. She tied Trinity's single game record with 42 points on 15-20 shooting in the conference showdown with Austin College, adding 3-6 from three-point range and 9-12 from the foul line. She also pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out six assists in the game, leading the Tigers in all three categories. The 42 points scored is tied for the fourth-most in SCAC history, and she becomes just the seventh player in conference history to score 40 or more in a game.
Frank had a massive weekend for Austin College as the 'Roos topped Schreiner before coming up short at Trinity. Frank averaged 28.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists while shooting 52.3% from the field and 83.3% from the free throw line, including scoring a career-high 32 points while grabbing 15 rebounds against Trinity.
