NCAA taps Oglethorpe University and DePauw University as NCAA Championship participants

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Tenth ranked Oglethorpe University, winners of the SCAC's automatic qualifier, and seventeenth ranked Depauw University will represent the SCAC in the 2009 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.

The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels (25-3) will host the Maryville (Tenn.) College Scotts (19-8) of the Great South Athletic Conference on Friday, March 6.

That winner will play the winner of the Greensboro College (26-2) and Mississippi College (22-4) winner on Saturday, March 7 in Atlanta, Ga.

The DePauw University Tigers (22-5) will travel to Bloomington, Ill. to square off against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (23-5) of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Friday, March 6.

That winner will play the winner of the Illinois Wesleyan (27-0) and Ohio Wesleyan (17-11) game on Saturday, March 7 in Bloomington, Ill.
