SCAC Has 12 Student-Athletes Named To USTFCCCA Men's All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Twelve Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) men's cross county student-athletes were named to the 2011 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic teams, the organization announced.

Centre College placed a league-high four student-athletes on the team. Albert Anastasio, John Kieffer, Willie Polio and Jack Santos reprsented Centre.

Colorado College and Sewanee: University of the South each placed three student-athletes on the list. Representing Colorado College was the trio of Robby Caseria, Kaleb Fergin and Nick Hall.

Sewanee's trio included Clay Bond, John Gilmer and Hudson Robb.

Rhodes College rounded out the SCAC's selections as Noah Brown and Will Hawes were named to the team.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater through the most-recent semester and placed in the top 35 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
