SCAC has 11 swim squads named CSCAA Scholar-Athlete Teams
CHICAGO, Ill. - The College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) unveiled its Spring 2009 list of Scholar-Athlete Teams, and 11 SCAC squads (six women's, five men's) earned places on the listing. In all, 347 teams representing 238 colleges and universities earned the distinction based on a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

SCAC announces Spring 2009 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll
SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 1,029 student-athletes to the 2009 SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 948 student-athletes.

Carrington joins Pirates as Head Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Coach
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Dan Carrington has been named as the head men's and women's swimming and diving coach for the Pirates. The announcement was made Friday by Southwestern University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Glada Munt. Carrington comes to Southwestern after serving as the head coach for the San Antonio Wave.

DePauw men win 2009 SCAC Swimming & Diving Championship; Fifth straight for the Tigers
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - DePauw totaled 916 points and captured its fifth straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship and seventh in its 11 years of competition. Trinity was second with 769 points and Centre was third with 708.

Records contine to fall during Friday Finals at 2009 SCAC Swimming & Diving Championships
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Continuing the theme from the Thursday evening finals, records continued to fall at an impressive rate during the Friday evening finals at the 2009 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Swimming & Diving Championships. A total of seven records were set Friday, including NCAA "A" cut times in the women's 100-yard breast and the men's 200-yard freestyle.

Trinity women; DePauw and Trinity men tied for first after day two of SCAC Championships
Nashville, Tenn. - Day two of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Swimming and Diving Championships finished in historic fashion as nine of the ten events contested finished in record fashion. Every event, except for the men's 400 medley relay, saw new conference bests as the Trinity University women maintained its day on lead. The DePauw University and Trinity University men ended day two tied for first.

Colorado College Swimmers Win National Academic Awards
PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Colorado College swimming and diving teams added to their impressive performances in the pool by claiming two of the top three academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic achievements during the 2007-08 school year.
