Hendrix's Keegan Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

CONWAY, Ark. – Hendrix College senior men's soccer player Duncan Keegan was recently awarded a Postgraduate Scholarship by the NCAA. Keegan, from Signal Mountain, Tenn., will graduate from Hendrix with a degree in Biology. During his academic career, Keegan has maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

"I've had a wonderful four years at Hendrix," said Keegan. " It has been great to be part of such a strong community of students, professors, and coaches. I have always had tremendous academic and athletic support, and I'm thankful Coach Doug Mello and all my professors for making it so easy to be a student-athlete."

After graduation in May, Keegan plans on attending medical school.

Keegan led the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with 37 points and was second with 14 goals and nine assists in 2011.. Keegan also ranked in the top 40 nationally in points, points per game, goals, goals per game, assists and assists per game. He finished his career at the Warriors' all-time leader in points (93), goals (36) and assists (21). Keegan was an All-SCAC First Team member this season, a Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team selection and earned NSCAA All-West Region Third Team.
