Trinity University to Make Soccer Stadium Renovations
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Trinity University has announced a renovation plan at the stadium for the Tiger men’s and women’s soccer teams. Construction will begin in May on the Timothy “Tito” Isom Memorial Media Center, to be located at Trinity’s soccer field. The facility will include a press box, restrooms for teams and officials, and permanent team dugouts on the south side of the field.

DePauw Wins Fifth Consecutive SCAC President's Trophy
SUWANEE, Ga. - With spring championships in women's tennis and women's golf - in addition to second-place finishes in men's and women's track & field, baseball and men's tennis - DePauw University cruised to a 127.5 point victory in the race for the 2009-10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference President's Trophy. It is the fifth consecutive all-sports trophy for the Tigers.

Sewanee's Kyle Rote, Jr. Elected to National Soccer Hall of Fame
SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee alum Kyle Rote, Jr., C'72, was elected to the U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame this month. Rote was the 1973 rookie of the year in the North America Soccer League, the 1973 scoring champion, a 1973 All-Star and was the leading scorer for the Dallas Tornados for three years. Rote also represented the the country on the US National Soccer Team for three years.

Trinity Men's Soccer to Play Haitian National Team in Exhibition Game
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Trinity University men’s soccer team will play the national team of Haiti in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Soccer Field. The game is organized by San Antonio Sports and Trinity University, and will be the first for the Haitian team since the devastating earthquake in their country on January 12, 2010.

Record 782 student-athletes highlight SCAC Fall 2009 Academic Honor Roll
SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named a record 783 student-athletes to the 2009 SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll on Friday. This year's total eclipsed last year's previous record of 778 student-athletes. Since its inception in the fall of 1997, over 15,500 student-athletes have achieved recognition for their contributions in the classroom.

Trinity Receives First-Round Bye in NCAA Men's Soccer Championship Bracket
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Committee announced the field of 59 teams for the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship today, and Trinity University, the SCAC men's soccer champion, received a first-round bye. The Tigers will open play on November 15 against the winner of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Hardin-Simmons.

Oglethorpe’s Akin records milestone in victory over Piedmont
ATLANTA, Ga. – Oglethorpe University men’s soccer coach Jon Akin became the all-time leader in coaching victories in the school’s history on Tuesday night after topping Piedmont College, 3-2. Akin, who was named Oglethorpe’s head coach in 2003, won his 58th all-time contest to surpass former Stormy Petrel coach Bucky Reynolds.
