Sarah Riffle, DePauw University, Field Hockey (Offensive)

SARAH RIFFLE OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY, a senior forward from St. Louis, Mo., has been selected as the SCAC Field Hockey Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played Monday, September 21 through Sunday, September 27.

Riffle scored four goals in two games to lead DePauw to a 2-0 record this week. Against Division II opponent Bellarmine University on Wednesday Riffle scored the Tiger's second goal in a 2-0 victory.

In a game suspended for rain, Riffle scored three goals in just over 30 minutes to lead the Tiger's victory over Sewanee. Riffle's first goal of the game came just two minutes after play was resumed on another direct shot from a penalty corner. Just under two minutes into the second half Riffle scored her second goal of the game to put the Tiger's ahead 2-1. The game winner, and Riffle's third goal of the game, was scored with six minutes left to play on another penalty corner play.

Riffle's hat trick was her second for the year, as she has been the leader for the Tiger offense on the forward line.
