Garrett Biel, Trinity University, Football (Special Teams)
GARRETT BIEL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a 5-8, 165-pound first-year kicker from Clayton, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, November 7.
Biel kicked a pair of field goals to help Trinity to a 27-17 win over Centre College in Saturday afternoon's final regular season home game. With the two field goals, he breaks Trinity's single season record that was set by Peter Licalzi in 2007. Licalzi had 15 field goals that season, while Biel has now nailed 16-18 this season. That field goal percentage of 88.9% would also break Trinity's record for one year. He went into the game leading the nation in field goals/game, averaging nearly two field goals per game this season.
