SUWANEE, Ga. - Spring sports in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference are in full bloom as baseball, softball, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse have all begun their seasons over the past few weeks.

BASEBALL
After starting the season 0-3, Birmingham-Southern has rattled off five consecutive wins to get to 5-3. Trinity also upped its win streak to five while Hendrix (four straight) and Millsaps (three straight) have also extended win streaks of their own over the past week.

SOFTBALL
Birmingham-Southern has opened up its 2012 softball campaign a perfect 5-0 and remains the only team who has started play this season unbeaten. The Panthers have now started out 5-0 or better three of the past four seasons.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE
Defending SCAC Champions, the Purple Tigers of Sewanee, picked up right where they left off a season ago opening up the year a perfect 3-0 and now riding a seven game winning streak that dates back to last year. Colorado College picked up the first conference win of the year knocking off Millsaps 14-1 behind four goals from Leslie Jacoby.
